Lexington Park at Rice Field was formerly Rice Field, a former Plano Independent School District football stadium. In fact, Rice Field was the first PISD football field. The football field, named Rice Field in honor of brothers Joe and Guy Rice, donated the property which became Rice Field to the school district for use as a football field. In the early days, cows had to be moved off the field before each game.
Lexington Luxury Builders named the neighborhood in honor of Joe and Guy Rice, and will further honor their memory with a monument in the Park as the Park construction is completed. Lexington further honored the generous spirit of the Rice brothers by following their example and donating all of stadium equipment, bleachers, lights and press box which were on the property when we purchased it.
Lexington Luxury Builders joins the people of Plano in thanking the Rice Brothers and their families for their generosity.
